Scarce and early Signal Corps type SCR57 aircraft radio interphone manufactured by Western Electric.

These interphones were intended to be used onboard US Army Air Service planes during WWI but the SCR 59 receiving set were quickly deemed obsolete due to their very short range.

This interphone appears to be complete with the exception of the batteries. Nice wooden case with schematic diagram sheet glued inside and alloy metal interphones / radio switch on the side.

Rare et précoce interphone d'avion du Signal Corps de type SCR 57 fabriqué par Western Electric.

Ces interphones étaient prévus pour être embarqués dans les avions de l'US Army Air Service pendant la 1ère GM mais les radios SCR 59 furent très rapidement déclarées obsolète à cause de leur courte-portée.

Cet interphone semble être complet, à l'exception de ses batteries. Beau boitier en bois avec feuille de diagramme schématisé collée à l'intérieur et interrupteur en alliage radio / interphones sur le coté.
