M1905 M1 Garand bayonet cut down to a 10” blade with a spear point / bowie point. Unusual UFH (Union Fork & Hoe) production cut down by UC (Utica Cutlery) in 1942.
The left handle plate is broken but still holds tight.
The scabbard shows the common US flaming bomb. It retains less than 10% of its original green paint on front due to its use in combat. About 30% of the paint is retained on the back.
Rare bayonet at a good price.

Baïonnette M1905 pour M1 Garand coupée à une longueur de lame de 10” avec pointe type “lance”. Production UFH (Union Fork & Hoe) peu courante avec une modification appliquée par UC (Utica Cutlery) in 1942.
La plaquette de poignée gauche est cassée mais est maintenue fermement en place.
Le fourreau montre le marquage classique de la bombe enflammée US. Il ne comporte plus qu’environ 10% de sa peinture verte originale sur sa partie frontale due à son utilisation au combat. L’arrière comporte environ 30% de sa peinture.
