Interesting set of two (2) next-of-kin dog tag and original photograph belonging to Major George Condes from Whitting, IN.

Maj. Condes served in Company H / 21st Infantry Regiment - 24th Infantry Division.
The 24th ID - "Taro Leaf" Division served on the Pacific Theater of Operation during WWII, participating in the battles of Hollandia, Leyte and Luzon.

Both dog-tags have the next-of -kin name and address embossed on it. Interestingly enough, one is embossed "T42" and the other "T43" but was corrected to "T42".

We enclosed two extracts from the 24th ID association "Taro Leaf" publication dated Aug 1950 showing the involvement of Maj. George Condes in the association during the post-war years.

Voici un lot intéressant composé de deux (2) plaques d'identité et d'une photographie original ayant appartenu au Major George Condes de Whitting, Indiana.

Le Major Condes à servit dans la compagnie H / 21eme Régiment d'infanterie de la 24eme Division d'infanterie.
La 24eme DI "Taro Leaf" a servi sur le front Pacifique pendant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale et à participée aux batailles d'Hollandia, Leyte and Luzon.

Les deux plaques d'identités disposent de nom et de l'adresse du parent le plus proche. D'une façon intéressante, l'une des plaques est marquée "T42" et l'autre "T43" puis à été corrigée par "T42".

Nous avons inclus deux extraits d'une publication de la 24eme DI datée d'août 1950 montrant l'implication du Maj. George Condes au sein de l'association pendant les années d'après-guerre.
