Scarce US Army Air Forces / Army Air Corps North Atlantic Squadron patch.
Canadian-made patch worn by USAAF service men serving in the North Atlantic Squadron at Gander field, Newfoundland.
Shield-shaped black wool felt base with yellow felt bomber sewn in the center. "USAAF" stitched in blue on the upper left corner, and "North Atlantic Squadron" stitched in white at the bottom. White cloth backing with a production defect. Manufacturer's stamp "Crest craft - Saskatoon, SK" on the back.

Patch de fabrication Canadienne porté par les hommes de service de l'USAAF servant au sein de l'escadrille du Nord-atlantique a la base aérienne de Gander, Newfoundland.
Patch en forme de bouclier, réalisé en feutrine de laine noire avec bombardier en feutrine de laine jaune cousu au centre. Lettres "USAAF" au point de couture bleu sur le coin supérieur gauche, et la phrase "North Atlantic Squadron" au point de couture blanc sur la partie inferieure. Revers en toile blanche avec un défaut de production. Tampon de fabriquant "Crest Craft - Saskatoon, SK" au dos.
