Rare early US Army Air Forces / Army Air Corps rigger-modified cloth flight helmet type A9.

Type A9 green cotton flight helmet modified with the addition of leather ear cups designed to hold the R-14 radio receivers and with rows of snaps to snap on an oxygen mask.
